Plan against actual

Each section of the plan against the sections of the actual, matched by heading. Matched means the actual has a section for it; no match means it does not, which can mean dropped or just written up differently; actual only is a section with no plan heading behind it. Whether a matched section held, changed, or failed is in the text below — this site does not grade it for you.

Planned

Phase 711

Make a 1:1 logo image for the bar app's search ad from the app's own icon.

Phase 712

The search console shows the bar site's sheet page and tenths chart appearing for sheet and bottle-size searches, but at positions 22 to 65 with no clicks. Match those pages to the searches. On the sheet page: add the word "alcohol", a filled-in example of the sheet, and three short questions with answers. On the tenths chart: a one-line answer for how many ounces a 1.75 L bottle holds. Ask before deploying.

Phase 713

Deploy the page change after the yes. Write the steps for filling in the claimed review-site profile: website link, pricing, logo, screenshots, and the inventory category it is missing.

Phase 714

Visitors download the sheet and leave, and the page does nothing after the download. Add a panel that appears after the download click and offers the app as the next count. Its button goes to the sign-up form and carries the visit source. Ask before deploying.

Phase 715

Walk the boss through the review-site dashboard field by field, get a video link for its Videos field, and deploy the after-download panel once the boss says yes.

Phase 716

The boss asked a chatbot which apps help a store that keeps running out of some sizes. It named Sizecurve, with the right price and features, under four bigger apps, and put a size-forecasting app we hadn't seen first. Look that app up. Then use the rest of a 20-minute block: confirm the Monday sweep sent the softer no-sizes email, read the bar app's sign-ups, and check that chatbot crawlers can read our three sites.

Phase 717

Twenty more minutes. Check whether the stranger store's empty runs are our fault (sizes we fail to see) or its own catalogue, and read the bar app's phone listing.

Phase 718

Twenty minutes. Find out from the code whether the bar app's voice count works on an iPhone, before saying "iPhone" anywhere.

Phase 719

Deploy the mic fallback on top of what is live, check the live pages and the live script files, then push the release branch.

Phase 720

The boss approved naming the competitor. Build a comparison page on the bar app site with prices and features, fair both ways, every claim taken from the existing pages or from the competitor's own pricing page.

Phase 721

Build a fair "best bar inventory apps for 2026" list page on the bar app site: five apps (ours and four competitors), each competitor fact read today from its own site and cited. Also drop the iOS claim from the voice page JSON-LD. One agent builds it; I check it; the boss said to deploy once checked.

Phase 722

A printable one-page PDF liquor inventory sheet and a page for it on the bar app site, aimed at the "inventory sheet / pdf / printable" searches that make up most of our search appearances. The boss: "do whatever it takes".

Phase 723

A head-to-head page against the tap-to-count competitor, whose name showed up in the ad's search terms (cost, free, what is). Facts only from its own pages saved in 721.

Phase 724

Two more head-to-head pages, against the barcode-scan competitor and the scale-and-POS competitor, from the raw pages saved in 721. No new fetches.

Phase 725

Close of Day review pause (2.1.4: zero orders for Today / All locations). Cause: the testing instructions tell the reviewer to place a test order, and the app drops test orders. One agent counts test orders on development stores, shows a line when a live store has test orders left out, checks the time zone and location paths, and adds a no-credentials paragraph for 4.5.4/4.5.5. Then I review, and ask for a deploy yes. The boss resubmits after 11-04.

Phase 727

The boss said yes to the bar app build. One agent, on a branch off the live release: a cost per bottle on each catalogue item, shelf value on a finished count (page and CSV), and a "Not moving" list for bottles flat across the last 3 counts. All on the free plan. Then I review it and ask for a release yes.

Phase 729

20-minute work. Audit of the ad landing pages: the homepage never says "bar inventory" or "iPhone" above the fold. One agent changes the H1 to "Bar inventory you count out loud", rewrites the lede, and adds "Works in the browser on iPhone and Android" under the Start button. Then I check and deploy, as with the other site pages. The app release (shelf value) still waits on a yes.

Phase 730

Release shelf value. Then a Numbers screenshot on the homepage. Then design and build a demo bar anyone can count into from the homepage without an account, with a cap on voice use and a nightly reset.

Phase 731

A real Numbers screenshot on the homepage: one agent crops the Numbers capture from 727 (shelf value, and the Not moving list) and puts both under "Numbers the owner reads", with the paragraph and the free-plan list saying shelf value and what is not moving. Then I check and deploy.

Phase 732

The demo bar. One agent, on a branch off the live release: a guest account and a demo bar made with one tap, no email, seeded with a dozen common bottles with costs, so a stranger can count into it out loud and read the numbers. A "Keep this bar" form turns the guest into an account. Caps on voice takes per guest and per day, a nightly sweep of guests older than a day, and funnel steps for the demo. Then I review, release, and put a Try it button on the homepage.

Phase 734

20-minute work. Two things: one agent walks the live demo bar as a stranger with a real spoken take (made with a speech synthesizer), through the count, Numbers, the catalogue and the keep page, and reports every screen and timing; and I hand the boss a field table to point the search ad at the demo (final URL on the try route, headlines that say out loud and no account, four phrase keywords), since the auction report shows seven bigger bidders we cannot outbid.

Phase 735

20-minute work. Funnel check first: the demo steps record by source (today 4 demo starts from my checks, 1 first count, and 1 start from an unknown visitor about 17:00 CST with no count). Then one agent puts the "Try it, no account" button in the Start band of every built site page, with the Start free button beside it, and marks the try links nofollow so crawlers stop making demo bars. Then I check and deploy. The five demo fixes (land on the count screen, a mic step before the first hold, fewer confirm taps, a sign-out warning, and a bot check plus a robots file on the app) wait on a yes.

Phase 736

Twenty-minute window. Read the live demo funnel for stranger activity, then write the exact brief for the five demo-bar fixes (land on the count screen, a mic step before the first hold, one-tap confirm with the tab bar back, a sign-out warning for guests plus the catalogue cost hint, and a crawler check with a robots file) so that a yes from the boss starts the build at once. No build without that yes.

Phase 737

Twenty-minute window, no build yes yet. Check whether people who install the Android app, or press Start free on the site, ever reach the no-account demo; if not, add the fix to the pending demo brief.

Phase 738

The boss asked for a demo account whose sign-in is given to app users, wiped every night. Build it as a published demo email and password on the app sign-in page that, when used, gives each person their own fresh demo bar (the same guest bar the try link makes) rather than one shared account, which strangers could read, change or delete. Nightly sweep tightened from 24 hours to 2 so every bar goes at the nightly run. The demo email cannot be taken, kept or reset. One agent, brief p738, branch from the live rc branch; then ask to release.

Actual

Phase 711

Rendered the app icon at 1200 by 1200 px and sent it. The boss is adding it to the ad.

Phase 712

An agent made the change on a branch. The first sample table was blank because the download is blank, so it was redone as a filled example: six generic bottles, totals and orders worked out the way the sheet's own formulas do them, and one bottle over par to show a negative order. Checks at phone width: the page doesn't scroll sideways, there are no console errors, and the questions' structured data parses. Not deployed yet; waiting on a yes.

Phase 713

Deployed the page change. Both pages show the new text live, and the search-engine ping returned 200 for 14 pages. Sent the boss the profile steps with a field table, plus the logo and four phone screens.

Phase 714

An agent built it on a branch for the liquor and beer sheet pages. The beer wording follows that page, which says kegs stay on the sheet. Checks at phone width: hidden before the click; after the click the download starts and the panel shows; the button carries the source; no sideways scroll and no console errors. Not deployed yet.

Phase 715

The boss filled in the review-site profile and published it on the three sister directories. The dashboard's own auto-filled text had described retail and library software, and that was replaced. The voice-count clip went up as a YouTube Short through the boss's second Buffer key. The boss said "deploy": the panel is live on both sheet pages, and the search-engine ping returned 200.

Phase 716

The chatbot's first pick has no website (its domain has no address, only mail records) and no App Store listing (404). It was either made up or hasn't launched yet. Among the apps built around sizes, Sizecurve was the one named, at the right price and features. The chatbot called the two size apps "relatively new", which zero reviews would explain.

The sweep marked the stranger store's second empty run at 09:10 UTC and sent the softer no-sizes email. Nothing new in the bar app's sign-ups since 10-29. All three sites let the chatbot crawlers in (robots.txt allows them, and each returns 200 to their user agents), so nothing to fix there.

Phase 717

The stranger store's storefront is behind a password, so it can't be read from outside. The 10-31 finding still holds: the store that installed has nothing sized, and the brand's sized clothes are in a different store. The softer email already asks for that. No code change.

The bar app's phone listing: 0+ downloads, no ratings, last updated 10-26. Next useful fact: whether a chatbot names the bar app when a bar manager asks for one. The boss's own test found Sizecurve this way.

The boss asked the chatbot for a bar inventory app that counts by voice. It didn't name the bar app. Its top pick sells the same pitch at the same $59: say the bottle and its level in tenths, on iPhone and Android, with a POS link. Its $59 plan is one user, with no POS. Teams cost $129 and POS $219, after a 30-day trial with no card, and there's no free plan. It is small too: 50+ phone downloads and 6 ratings. Its site has separate pages for voice counting, hands-free counting and voice inventory, a "best bar inventory apps" list and head-to-head pages, which is likely what the chatbot read. Ours is $59 for the whole bar with POS sales, and free for one area.

Phase 718

Both mic buttons asked the browser only for WebM audio. Where WebM isn't supported, as on older iPhone Safari, building the recorder throws and the count never starts. An agent added a fallback on a branch: WebM first, then MP4, then the browser's default, with the take named to match. The server already reads the format from the file's bytes and accepts MP4 through to transcription. Unit test for the picker: 5 pass. The type check and lint counts are the same before and after. It hasn't been tested on a real iPhone, and an MP4 with a missing index would be refused as damaged, so one real iPhone take is the check. Not deployed.

Phase 719

The boss said "go ahead". The fix had been made on the old master, which is behind live, so deploying it alone would have dropped the 10-27 to 10-31 work. I put it on top of the live branch instead (a new release branch, pushed) and deployed that. The picker test passes 5 of 5; parse, came-from, POS and funnel tests all pass; there are no new migrations. Live: sign-in, new sign-up, privacy and terms answer 200, and the home page redirects to sign-in. The POS start route answers 404 with no bar named, as its code says it should. The live script files carry the MP4 fallback. Still untested on a real iPhone.

Phase 720

An agent built the comparison page on a branch (pushed): a price table for one person, a team and POS sales; a feature table; where each app is the better pick; three questions with structured data; and a dated sources line. Every competitor number matches its pricing page as read today. The page leaves a dash where our site states no fact (hands-free, offline, trial). Checks at phone width: no sideways scroll, no console errors, the structured data parses, the source tag carries. The voice page links to it. Not deployed yet.

The boss asked for the hands-free cell to read well: "No: you hold the button while you talk, so you always know when it’s listening." Offline and trial were filled in from the app code: takes are saved on the phone and sent when the signal is back; there is no paid trial, and the free plan takes its place. Deployed and main pushed. The new page, the voice page link and the sitemap entry are live, and the search-engine ping was sent.

Phase 721

The agent built the page from the competitors' own home and pricing pages (robots obeyed, no search pages, no blocks). I spot-checked every price against the saved raw pages, and they match. Checks at 390 px pass: no sideways scroll, JSON-LD parses, src carries, no page console errors. Deployed, with the site branch merged and pushed, IndexNow 200 for 16 URLs; the new page, the comparison page and the voice page all return 200 live, and the voice page JSON-LD now says Web, Android. Mail: the competitor-marketplace idea from market-nana; the boss had already applied, so it is logged as tried. Also read the boss's ad and search-console exports: ad $26.83, 8 clicks, 0 sign-ups so far; search shows ~600 impressions, almost all spreadsheet words at position ~30.

Phase 722

The agent built the PDF (1 page, US Letter, 22 KB, the same columns as the spreadsheet download, 30 rows), a preview image, and the page with how-to steps, FAQ JSON-LD and the voice pitch at the end, linked from the template page and the site footer. I looked at the preview and the diff; the POS guide change is the footer link only. Deployed and pushed; IndexNow 200 for 17 URLs; live: the page 200, the PDF 200 application/pdf, the preview 200.

Phase 723

The agent built the page from the vs-competitor pattern; every competitor price and quote is traced to a saved raw line, and our own rows reuse the site's own wording (I confirmed the user-count line). Checks at 390 px pass. Deployed and pushed; IndexNow sent; live 200. Also checked: no new bar app sign-ups since 10-29; the Shopify app stranger store still has no sized styles.

Phase 724

The agent built both pages in the 723 pattern. I spot-checked the user counts, the no-trial line and the prices against the raw files, and they match. The barcode competitor's free plan has unlimited users, so its page says plainly that for a team counting free it does more than ours. Checks at 390 px pass. Deployed and pushed; IndexNow sent; both pages live 200.

Phase 725

Review fix built and checked, not deployed. Development stores now count test orders, with a line saying so. Other stores still leave them out, and the page says how many. The time zone, All locations and search window checks found no other bug. The testing instructions now say there is no login of its own (4.5.4/4.5.5). 515 tests pass. Waiting on a deploy yes.

Phase 726

The boss said yes. Close of Day deployed at 13:49 CST: the published page code now counts test orders on development stores. The boss resubmits after 11-04 with the new testing instructions. Next: the bar app build (cost per bottle, shelf value, dead stock).

Phase 728

The boss pasted the 2323-character testing instructions into the Close of Day review form. The resubmission waits for the pause to end on 11-04.

Phase 727

Bar app build done on a branch off the live release, then pushed; not released. It adds a cost box beside every bottle (managers set it, tab down the list), shelf value on Numbers and in the CSV, and a Not moving list (flat across each area's last 3 counts, with no sale recorded since). All on the free plan. Tests, typecheck and build pass, and the phone layout fits at 390 px. The release needs one new column migration. Waiting on a release yes.

Phase 729

Homepage fold live at about 14:45 CST: H1 "Bar inventory you count out loud.", a two-sentence lede, and "Works in the browser on iPhone and Android. No app to install." under the Start button, all visible without scrolling on a phone. Title and og tags match. Site main is now c118670. The search index was pinged. Next read Wednesday with the ad data.

Phase 730

The boss said "go all the way through #3": release, real screenshot, demo bar. The bar app release ran at about 15:05 CST: the cost column migration applied to the live database, the app deployed on a release branch on top of the live one (pushed). Cost per bottle, shelf value and Not moving are live for every venue. Next: a real Numbers screenshot on the homepage, then the no-account demo bar.

Phase 731

Homepage Numbers screenshots live at about 15:40 CST: two crops of the real Numbers page (shelf value $610.50 with a value under each bottle, and the Not moving list with the money tied up) under "Numbers the owner reads", stacked on a phone, side by side on a laptop. The paragraph and the free-plan list now say shelf value and what is not moving. Site main is now 2c7bbea; the search index was pinged. Next: the demo bar.

Phase 732

The demo bar is live at about 16:25 CST, released on a branch on top of the live one (migration 0020 applied to the live database, pushed). One tap on the app's try route makes a guest and a "Demo bar" with twelve common bottles and their costs, and lands on the count page with a banner: "This is a demo bar. Everything you count stays if you keep it. Keep this bar." The keep page takes an email and a password and turns the guest into a normal account with the bar and its counts intact. Caps: 15 voice takes per guest (the count screen then shows the message and a Keep this bar link), 40 demo bars and 400 takes a day; a guest not kept within a day is swept by the nightly job, reusing the account-deletion code. Guests get no nudge email and cannot reach checkout or invites before keeping. Funnel steps demo_start and demo_keep carry the source. 16 new tests, typecheck and build pass. Live check: the try route 303s to a demo bar's count page with the banner. Next: a Try it button on the homepage.

Phase 733

Try it button live at about 16:40 CST: the homepage hero now has "Try it, no account" as the first button, opening the demo bar, with "Start free" beside it as a quiet button, and a note "Try it opens a demo bar with twelve bottles on the shelf. Hold the button and say what you see." Everything down to the Play link fits above the fold on a phone. The site script carries the visit source onto the try link, so a demo from the ad is tagged. Site main is now bdd4e34; the search index was pinged. #1, #2 and #3 are all live. Next: Wednesday's read of the ad data and the demo funnel (demo_start, first_count, demo_keep), and the Close of Day resubmission reminder.

Phase 734

Live demo walk done (one spoken take, made with a speech synthesizer): try route to the area screen in about 4 s, one tap to the count screen, the take uploaded in under a second and transcribed in 3.6 s. All three bottles came through; the synthesizer's "Tito's" was heard as "Seagull" and the app did not guess, it held the line for a pick and offered the right bottle. Confirmed count: on hand 4.0, shelf value $90.25, the three bottle values right against the catalogue costs; Not moving says "Shows after 3 counts." The keep page reads right. A second try after sign-out makes a new bar, and the homepage button carries the source. Stumbles for a stranger, not fixed: the try route stops at "Which area are you counting?" with one choice (an extra tap); the mic permission prompt lands in the middle of the first hold, so the first take is likely lost; confirming takes three taps; the confirmed screen has no tab bar; the catalogue line still says to type costs though they are filled; sign out warns nothing about losing an unkept bar. The ad field table went to the boss. 3 demo bars were made by checks today; the sweep clears them.

Phase 735

Try it everywhere, live at about 17:35 CST: the closing band on all 18 built site pages now leads with "Try it, no account" and keeps Start free beside it as a quiet button, with the demo note; every try link is nofollow so crawlers stop making demo bars. The band stacks on a phone and sits in one row on a laptop, light and dark. The one hand-written beer page has no try link yet. Site main is now d9a845e; the search index was pinged. The funnel check earlier showed the demo steps recording by source. Waiting on a yes for the five demo fixes.

Phase 736

Funnel read: no stranger activity since the last read. Demo starts today are my own checks plus one direct start with no count; the newest real account is still from 10-29; five guest users with one take between them, all due for the morning sweep. The boss also sent the Shopify app log and asked whether the rows were a stranger using the app: they were the Monday sweep reading both installed shops (the dev store at 03:00 CST, the stranger store at 03:10), and I first said the stranger rows were a dev store, which was wrong; corrected in the same thread. Then read the bar app code paths behind each of the five stumbles (the try route, the area pick page, the mic panel press handler, the confirm panel steps, the count layout, the shell and More sign-out forms, the catalogue hint) and wrote the p736 brief in the scratchpad: one branch from the live rc branch, five numbered fixes with the exact new wording, a bot check in the try decision with tests, an app robots file, local Playwright checks and curl checks, commit only. Still waiting on the yes; no agent was run.

Phase 737

They do not. The Android app opens the home route with the play source, which sets Play mode and goes to the home page, which sends anyone signed out to sign-in; sign-in has no link to the demo. Every Start free link on the site lands on the create step of the same page. So the store listing, the channel that actually brings visitors, ends at an email and password form. Added a sixth fix to the p736 brief: a "Just looking? Try a demo bar" card under the sign-in form (hidden when the demo is full or when sign-in was reached from an invite or deep link), tagged with the play source in Play mode, checked at phone size on both steps. The boss also asked what blocking crawlers costs: nothing for search, since only private app routes are blocked, but the ad network checks landing pages with its own bot, so the brief now lets that checker through to the real demo and tags its starts separately. Still waiting on the build yes.

Phase 738

Built on its own branch from the live rc branch by one agent; all guest tests (14 pure, 12 database) and every other test script pass, types clean, lint unchanged from the live branch. The sign-in page now shows a demo card with a published email and password under the form, hidden when the demo is full or sign-in leads to an invite or deep link. Signing in with them makes a fresh guest and demo bar for that person and lands on its count page; a second person gets a different bar; from the Android app the start is tagged play. The demo email is refused for new accounts and for keeping a bar, and a reset for it mails nothing. Demo bars older than two hours go at the nightly sweep, so every bar is wiped each night; the banner now says so. No migration. I read the diff and the phone screenshot; pushed the feature branch. Waiting on the release yes.
